Today Oakridge School celebrated Earth Day! The children began their day by turning the lights off in their classroom for one hour.
They then walked through the village to the school allotment, where they planted seeds. The Eco Warrior committee also presented an assembly to the rest of the school with some wonderful words about ways in which everyone can do their bit to help the planet.
They rounded their rather wet trip off with some mindfulness exercises.
Finally, the day was rounded off with a cake sale to raise money to buy bird food.
