Community

“A school where the community has the biggest heart.”

The Playground

The school’s playground is unique. Situated in the heart of the village, it consists of two lovely open greens. There are no fences and no barriers. With careful supervision from staff, the children learn to take responsibility for their own welfare and that of their friends. They are fortunate to have a beautiful nature reserve, Strawberry Banks, adjacent to where they play.

Village Life

Oakridge Lynch is a friendly and thriving village, with a great sense of community. There are a number of groups and societies that cater for all ages and interests, as well as a church, village shop and Post Office, pub, blacksmith, recreation/cricket ground, tennis court, allotments, children’s playground and village hall.

May Revels

Held on the village green and opened by the May Queen, the May Revels is a fantastic day out and our major fundraiser. Each year has a theme – anything from Star Wars to royal weddings – and people come from far and wide to browse the various stalls and exhibits, enjoy the entertainment and soak up the atmosphere.
