About Oakridge Parochial School

We are small, rural, community primary school nestled in the beautiful Cotswold village of Oakridge Lynch, situated between Stroud and Cirencester. Our motto is 'Living, learning, laughing'

Schooling in Oakridge dates back to approximately 1730 and has always been at the very heart our local community – a heritage we are proud to continue in the 21st century. We have strong links with parents, residents and the village church, all of whom provide us with a huge amount of support. Our dedicated team of teachers, helpers, governors and the school association all contribute to the ongoing success of our school.

We pride ourselves on providing a safe and nurturing environment where all pupils throughout our two mixed-age classes genuinely care for, and help, one another. It is very much like a family here! Due to our small class sizes each child receives a very personal approach to their education and staff are able to focus on pupils’ individual needs. In fact, children at Oakridge Parochial School often benefit from one-to-one tuition. Our high-quality approach delivers a stimulating and varied learning environment where each child feels valued and is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Oakridge Parochial School is truly unique in terms of its location. Children benefit from an abundance of outdoor play and learning activities which take place right on our doorstep. We make full use of the village green, the recreation ground and the surrounding countryside, all of which serve as wonderful outdoor classrooms!

We are currently rated by Ofsted as 'Good'Please click here to see our Ofsted report.
