This week our year 4 and year 6 pupils have been learning how to cycle safely.

Bikeability.

This week our Year 6 and Year 4 pupils have been learning how to cycle safely on our local roads. Thank you to Mel for organising this for us.

We look forward to our annual bling Your Bike day on Wednesday 10th June (with Friday 12th as a backup date should it be wet on 10th)

May Revels.

Preparations for the May Revels are now in full swing. In order to collect prizes for the tombola we will be holding a non-uniform day on Friday8th May.

Pupils can come to school in non-uniform for the donation of a prize for the tombola stall.

Oakridge and Bisley Choir.

During terms 4 & 5 Class 2 have been taking part in weekly singing lessons from specialist music teacher Matt Richardson. They have been learning songs that will be performed with Class 3 from Bisley at the Cheltenham Festival. We will be competing against other small rural schools in this exciting event on Tuesday 5th May. More information will be sent out next week. 

Sainsbury’s Active Kids

We are currently collecting vouchers from Sainsbury’s. You can place these in the school post box. Vouchers can be collected up until 5th May.

On the back of this letter are a list of known dates for terms 5 and 6. As always we will update you of anychanges and additions. Information regarding dates is also available on the school website.

Recruitment.

We are thrilled that Mr Wardle is staying with us as Class 2 teacher for terms 5 and 6.This term we will be interviewing for the permanent Class 2 teacher position.We will inform you of the outcome as soon as an appointment has been made.

Thank you so much for your generous gift and messages of best wishes following my recent wedding. It was a really super day. I have spoken with the pupils to tell them that in my professional capacity I have decided to keep my name the same although my married name is Mrs Kay.
