Thank you to Aulani and Penny for organising our eclipse viewing last Friday morning.

Eclipse.

Thank you to Aulani and Penny for organising our eclipse viewing last Friday morning. The pupils really enjoyed taking part in the activities and having the chance to be scientists. A great time was had by all, making it an event to remember for a long time to come.

Class 2.

We are pleased to confirm that Mr Wardle will be staying with us and teaching Class 2 for terms 5 and 6.

The recruitment process for the permanent position will take place in term 5.

Bikeability.

Our Year 6 pupils will take part in two cycling safety training sessions on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd   April. Y4 will have a session on Thursday 23rd April. On those days the pupils taking part will need to bring in their bikes and a cycling helmet. Bikes must be in good working order.

Parent consultation evenings.

Meetings for parents of pupils in Class 1 will take place on Tuesday 21st April 3.30pm – 6.20pm. For Class 2 meetings will be held on Tuesday 21st April 3.30pm – 6.00pm and Wednesday 22nd April 3.30pm – 4.10pm

Please book a time slot by adding your name to the list in the entrance hall or calling the school office to check availability.

Inspection at Bisley Blue Coat School.

Some of you may be aware that our partner school was inspected at the start of this term. We are pleased to report that Bisley School has been given an overall judgement of good. Grades of outstanding were given for behaviour and safety and leadership and management. Every judgement reflects improvement since the last inspection in 2013. The report recognised, “The school’s federation with Oakridge Parochial School and its partnership with the strong cluster of local schools have contributed effectively to this improvement. Future visits.

Please note the following dates in your diaries;

Monday 27th April – Class 2 visit to the British Museum –letter sent out separately. Parent helpers needed.

Thursday 30th April – Class 1 visit to Copsegrove Farm – more info to follow.

Achievement Worship.

This will take place at 9.15am on the last day of this term Friday 27th March.

Term 5 starts on Monday 13th April.
