KS1 Trip to Westonbirt


On Thursday 18th April KS1 will be going on a trip to Westonbirt Arboretum

Dear Class 1 Parents,

As part of our Forest Schools Experience, Class 1 will be joined by Bisley Class 1 and 2 on an outing to Westonbirt Arboretum. The visit will take place on Thursday 18th April.

The children will take part in an educational workshop, as well as having time to explore the arboretum.

  • The bus will depart Oakridge at 9.00am.
  • Children will need to wear trousers/ tracksuit bottoms not skirts, school jumper or fleece and sensible walking shoes. Be prepared for the weather – Sun cream/ hat/ waterproof coat.
  • Children will need to bring a packed lunch with drink and additional water bottle - in a small rucksack.
  • Children will be returned to school by 3pm for pick up as normal.
As usual the Oakridge Parochial School Charitable Trust will be contributing to the cost of the visit. The total cost per pupil for return coach travel, admission and educational workshop should be £8.50 per pupil. On this occasion we are requesting a voluntary contribution of £4.00 per child.

Please complete the permission slip (available from Carolyn) by Friday 12th April giving permission for your child to attend.
