Christmas comes to Oakridge

On Friday 13th December The Oakridge School Association very kindly provided Christmas lunch for all pupils, staff and governors.

On Friday 13th December members of The Oakridge School Association cooked Christmas lunch at The Village Hall for all pupil, staff and governors. During the morning the pupils made Christmas hats and, at 12.15pm we all walked through the village to the hall looking very festive.  The brisk walk up to the hall increased our appetites and, when we arrived, the smell of roast turkey, roast potatoes and all the trimmings really tickled our taste buds! After a delicious lunch there was a surprise visitor.  Father Christmas arrived bearing gifts (he couldn’t stay long as he had left the reindeers in the stable up the Bisley Road!).  With full tummies we then made our weary way back to school for the afternoon session.

Thank you so much to all the parents who worked really hard to give us such an enjoyable lunch.  Also, thank you to Father Christmas for taking the time to stop off at Oakridge, especially when he is so busy.
