KS2 - Gloucester Cathedral Visit

On Friday 28th June KS2 will be visiting Gloucester Cathedral

Dear Parents

As part of our Local History theme this term we have been to visit our local Parish Church. We would like to contrast this with a visit to Gloucester Cathedral. At the cathedral we will be looking at expressing worship and special places.  This will involve a guided tour of the building followed by workshops.

The visit will take place on Friday June 28th.

The coach will depart Oakridge School at 8.50am and will pick up at Bisley at 9.05am. Children will be dropped back at their school in time for normal pick up. Oakridge children will need to be in school for registration at 8.40am.

Your child will need a water bottle and a packed lunch which we will eat at the cathedral. Children should wear school uniform.

We ask parents to make a voluntary contribution of £5.00 per child towards the cost of the visit. This will cover the cathedral visit and workshops as well as a contribution towards the cost of the coach. The Oakridge Parochial School Charitable will also be contributing towards the cost of this visit. Please note that without parental contribution educational visits would not be possible.

Please complete and return the permission slip (available from Carolyn) to the school office by Monday 24th June.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Lara Burtwell
