Arrangements from September 2017

Over the past six years Bisley and Oakridge Schools

Dear Parents

Arrangements from September 2017.

Over the past six years Bisley and Oakridge Schools have developed strong and successful working links sharing learning opportunities for pupils, staff expertise and continuing professional development.  The positive outcomes of the partnership were recognised during our recent Ofsted inspection at Oakridge in March 2017.

‘The leaders and staff of both schools work closely together. The sharing of senior and middle leaders across both schools has increased the quality of professional support and development that teachers receive and has enabled them to improve their practice. Teachers speak highly of the support they receive and strongly feel that they are a part of a united team.

During this academic year we have worked with Miserden School providing some school to school support. The Governors of Miserden School are keen to continue working in partnership with us. As such our Governors have agreed to second Mrs Mitchell from her post as Class 3 teacher (at Bisley) to become Acting Headteacher at Miserden School. This secondment will commence as of September 2017 and last for one year on condition of finding a replacement for Class 3. During the year Mrs Mitchell will continue to work closely with Bisley and Oakridge maintaining some key responsibilities such as her role as SEND co-ordinator.

Our Federated Governing Body will now start the recruitment process to appoint a teacher for Class 3 to cover the year. As soon as we can confirm we will inform you about the appointment.

If you have any questions about this please contact me so that we can discuss the situation more fully.

Yours sincerely

Lisa Austin

Executive Headteacher.
