Happy New Year to everyone!

Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you all enjoyed the Christmas break and returned to school feeling relaxed and refreshed.

All staff would like to say a big thank you for the lovely cards and gifts given in the run up to Christmas. They were very much appreciated.

I am pleased to inform you that this term Mrs Kellaway will be returning to school. We look forward to welcoming her back and I am certain you join me in saying a big thank you to Mrs Hayes who has covered Class 1 full time during Mrs Kellaway’s absence. Mrs Hayes will continue to cover Class 1 part time during Mrs Kellaway’s phased return.

Unfortunately Mrs Modaley from Class 2 has been poorly with a chest infection over the holiday. She is hoping to be back in school next Monday. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Executive Headteacher

PE and swimming.

Our PE and swimming lessons start Friday 6th January. As you are aware these sessions will be taking place at Stratford Park Leisure Centre in Stroud and will run for five weeks. In order to start promptly and make the most of our sessions the coach will need to leave 8.45am. All pupils will need to be at school at 8.30am in order for registration to take place before we leave.

PE Plus.

This term our school will continue some of our sports funding for the PE Plus scheme. The scheme will continue to be run for us by Kick off Stroud. The Kick off Stroud coach will be in school on Thursday afternoons and children from every year group will have opportunities to take part in activities with them during this term. The coach will arrive for lunchtime and be leading activities for all pupils over this period. They will be running a Club after school on Thursday, from 3.15 to 4.15pm. This will start in a few weeks and more information about this will be sent out nearer the time.
