Newsletter 1 Sept 16

Welcome to our new starters this week. We wish them all the very best for the start of their learning journeys at Oakridge School.

Newsletter 1 – September 2016.

Welcome to our new starters this week, Albert (Reception), Arthur (Reception), Max (Y3), Oliver (Reception), Seb (Y2) and Tom (Y6). We wish them all the very best for the start of their learning journeys at Oakridge School.

If your child is unwell and unable to attend school we need to know. We request that the school office is informed by 9.30am on the first day of absence. Any un-notified absence of pupils will be followed up with a call home to ensure the child is safe.

If your child arrives at school late or attends a medical appointment please sign in at the office so the register can be amended.

Curriculum information.

Attached to this newsletter is some information about the areas of learning that will be covered this term. (This can be found under our curriculum)

Can you help?

Together with staff at Bisley we have been working on developing our assessment procedures and systems. We are now at a stage where we would like to plan how best we can communicate individual pupil progress information to parents, reviewing how we run parents evenings and reporting. We would like to set a working party of parents from both Bisley and Oakridge to explore ideas further. If you could give some time to become part of this group please let Carolyn or myself know.
