Staffing Updates and Information Evening (Y2 & 6 assessments)

We will be holding an information meeting for parents regarding Y2 & Y6 assessment arrangements.

Sadly, Miss Wieman will be leaving us at the end of term 5.

Dear parents and carers

Staffing updates.

It is with sadness I inform you that for personal reasons our Class 2 teacher Miss Wieman will be leaving us at the end of term 5. This has not been an easy decision for Miss Wieman and I am certain, like us, you wish her all the very best for her future. Miss Wieman has been a dedicated, hardworking and valued member of our team.

During this term we shall be recruiting for a permanent teacher to start in September 2016. In term 6 the Class 2 will be taught by Mrs Modaley. During this academic year Mrs Modaley has been working as a supply teacher at Bisley and other schools in the local area. She has been into Oakridge this week delivering an art project. During the coming weeks Mrs Modaley will come into school to spend time with Class 2 and to work with Miss Wieman to plan a smooth transition for the children during the staffing change.

Please feel assured that we are committed to ensuring that there is continuity in approach and learning. If you would like to discuss this with me in more detail please make an appointment with Carolyn in the office.

Information evening for parents – Y2 and Y6 assessment arrangements.

We will be holding an information meeting for parents about the National changes to the tests for pupils in Y2 and Y6 this year. There will be an opportunity to learn about the changes, look at sample papers and speak with class teachers. The meeting will take place at 6.30pm in the Bisley School hall on Thursday 28th April and will be open to parents from both Oakridge and Bisley School.

In order to assist planning, please could you indicate whether you are able to attend by returning the slip available from the school office.

Yours sincerely

Lisa Austin

Executive Headteacher.
