Term 2

Term 2.

We start this term by extending a warm welcome Matilda (Y2) and Bude (Y4).

As the days grow shorter and colder we would like to remind all families of the importance of ensuring your child / children bring a warm coat to school every day. Our playground is a beautiful setting but does have the nickname “Little Siberia”.

Bisley Bonfire.

This event will be taking place on Saturday 7th November. Gates open at 5.30pm with the firework display taking place at 7pm. Hot food, drinks and glow novelties will be available on sale. It is a super event for families and a great opportunity to support our partner school.

Tickets are on sale at Bisley village shop and can also be purchased on the night.

Parent Questionnaire.

A summary feedback from the parent questionnaires completed in June is available from the school office. On behalf of the federated Governing Body I would like to thank the parents who returned questionnaires. Your feedback has been very helpful as part of our future school development planning.

Sponsored Run.

Please could you return all sponsor money from the recent running event by Friday 13th November. As soon as we have calculated how muchthe children have raised so far, we will be able to inform you of the remaining cost for the Class 2 Airkix trip. Thank you to the OSA for agreeing to fund the coach.

Jam Jars.

In preparation for our Christmas Service in Church we would like to start a collection of empty jam jars. Please could you give any donations – clean and without labels – to Carolyn in the office.

New Parent Governor.

As you are aware there was a vacancy for a parent governor on the Bisley and Oakridge Federated Governing Body. I am pleased to inform you that Mrs Kerry Shillito is the new parent governor.

Christingle Service.

A Christingle Candle from The Children’s Society is being sent home in book bags.  We would be grateful if you could use it to save your coins, by doing this it will help other children who really need your help.  You can then either return the candle at the Christingle Service on Sunday 13th December or hand in to the school office beforehand.  More information can be found on
